Sue, Barry’s wife, has worked with Barry since the business was set up in 1990, firstly on a part-time basis and gradually, as the business grew and the children went to school, spending more time until it finally evolved into a full time job. Although she studied French at Leeds University and then trained as a teacher, Sue has found her role in the family business far more rewarding and now feels more knowledgable about IT and Accounts than she ever expected to! She is now responsible for accounts, commissions, compliance issues, staff development and IT. In her spare time, Sue, despite being raised in a family of Manchester United supporters, has been converted to the Blackburn Rovers cause. With three sons and a husband following the team, she decided long ago that if you can’t beat them you may as well join them. Apart from that, she enjoys cooking, theatre, ballet and trying to learn Italian and Spanish. |
